  • You don’t have to swim. But if you do, you do so at your own risk, as we do not employ lifeguards or any first aid personnel. Friday Morning Swim Club is merely providing an opportunity for participants to enjoy an event together.

  • Kids are definitely allowed to join and do so every week. With that being said, we definitely recommend life jackets and/or kid friendly floats. We also recommend swimming after the initial wave of swimmers have entered and exited the water. It can be a bit overwhelming for some kids depending on their experience and comfort level with swimming and/or crowds.

  • Season 3 has wrapped. There are no more swims scheduled for this year. More details can me found here.

The season was scheduled to go through September. In lieu of swims, we are making efforts to plan events on Friday’s away from the lake to finish out the season. Announcements of those events will be shared on our Instagram.

  • If you plan on getting in the water, not only should you know how to swim, but you should be confident doing so in deep water. The water at Montrose Harbor is 15-20 feet deep. If you choose to get in the water, you do so at your own risk, as we do not employ lifeguards or any first aid personnel.

If you aren’t a confident swimmer, we recommend just enjoying the coffee and company. It still makes for a great morning.

  • There’s parking along W Montrose Harbor Drive, adjacent to where we swim. Parking fills up quickly, so we recommend biking, if you’re able. Parking is free until 8:00 a.m. After that, paid parking is enforced.

  • Positive vibes, a floatie or noodle, your favorite coffee mug and maybe a towel. That's it!

  • Friday Morning Swim Club does not provide air pumps. However, a lot people of bring them and are open to sharing—just ask nicely and make sure to return once you’re done.

  • Either is perfect! Solo folks attend every week—and experiencing the morning with friends is also great. The whole purpose is to meet new people. It's simple.

  • Phone and film cameras are highly encouraged. We ask that you leave all professional camera equipment at home, especially drones. You can read more about that here.

  • We receive a lot of requests for collaborations. Feel free to reach out and if we feel like it’s a good match, we’ll be in touch!

  • Yes! Our print shop is live on the Shop page of our website. Click here to check it out.

  • We get this question often. We do not take donations for Swim Club. The best way to support us is through merch.

Friday mornings at the lake will remain true to how they started. We host donation-based events throughout the year, but not at the weekly swims. 🙂
